Software Engineer (Full-Stack): We are looking for a new team member to join our software engineering group. This position will work within a distributed team of engineers on both front-end and back-end systems to increase the accessibility, reuse, and impact of scientific data. We work with a wide variety of technologies to solve complex problems at the intersection of computer science, mathematics and statistics, and the physical sciences. Location is near one of our offices, or may be remote.
Front-End Engineer: We are looking for a new team member to join our front-end engineering group. This position will work to build operational front-end visualization and analysis applications using scientific data sets leveraged across partners and stakeholders. Additionally, this position will contribute to the next generation of Axiom’s flagship web application framework. Location is near one of our offices, or may be remote.
Cyberinfrastructure Operations Engineer: We are looking for a new team member to serve a critical cyberinfrastructure support role enabling data scientists, software engineers, and data engineers operating within Axiom to execute their work. At Axiom we manage our own data center and High-performance Computing (HPC) environment in downtown Portland, OR. This position will participate in designing, deploying, and maintaining Axiom’s server infrastructure, core storage and compute cluster software systems, and development operations tool suite in our on-premises data center and within external cloud vendor environments (AWS, GCP, etc).Location is in Portland, OR.
Technical Project Manager: We are looking for a new team member to join our project management team. This position will work with our engineering and data analyst/management groups to deliver on partner projects and initiatives. Communication is paramount for this position: you will manage requirements and expectations from dozens of stakeholders into clear and concise road-maps and demonstrate progress throughout implementation. Familiarity with agile project management principles and experience working in the physical and/or life sciences is preferred. Location is near one of our offices, or may be remote.
