Projects
AOOS meets its mission by using funds from our five-year cooperative agreement with NOAA through the Integrated Ocean Observing System (IOOS) program and funds acquired through other – usually competitive – grant processes and collaborating with other organizations.
Our work is organized around filling gaps in ocean and coastal observations and developing data products/tools in four major programmatic focus areas: safe marine operations, coastal hazard mitigation, monitoring water quality, and tracking ecosystem and climate trends.
