Nome Algal Toxin Workshop

An Algal Toxin workshop was held July 16th and 17th, 2019 in Nome. The workshop was sponsored by the Alaska Sea Grant and the Alaska Ocean Observing System with funding from the US Arctic Research Commission and NOAA.

The goal for the two-day workshop was to inform local residents, officials, resource managers, and health aids on Harmful Algal Blooms and the risks they impose on the communities.

Nome Algal Toxin Workshop day 2: Bering Strait health professionals learn the symptoms of algal toxins and how to treat them.
