Taylor serves as the Water Level Watch Coordinator for the Alaska Ocean Observing System (AOOS). She collaborates closely with AWLW partners, collaborators, and data product developers. Taylor manages the AOOS water level observing activities and oversees the maintenance and development of the AWLW Data Portal.
Taylor received a Master’s degree in Geophysics from the University of Texas with a thesis focusing on improved accuracy of hypocenter location for induced seismicity within Texas. She has diverse professional experience, including roles in environmental consulting, pollution prevention, air quality, and remediation of formerly used defense sites. Her experience encompasses project management, stakeholder engagement, and data management and quality assurance.
Taylor’s professional principles emphasize the establishment of robust and defensible data collection and management standards, complemented by the application of scientific principles through direct community engagement.
